For the American Academy of Pediatrics, I worked with expert pediatricians to develop some of its top-selling publications, from essential textbooks to quick reference guides to help clinicians walk patients and parents through a vast spectrum of diagnoses and treatments.
Pediatric Dermatology: A Quick Diagnosis Deck is a comprehensive, illustrative diagnostic tool featuring more than 300 images curated by world-renowned physicians Daniel Krowchuk and Anthony Mancini. I worked with this dream team to develop this portable, foldable, fan-able set of cards that help pediatricians quickly narrow down diagnoses for more than 100 skin conditions.

The deck includes rich yet concise descriptions of how these conditions might present on children with a variety of skin types and shades, and it helps their pediatricians to rule out "look-alike" conditions that commonly masquerade as others. I've served as developmental editor for two editions of this deck, as well as for the comprehensive textbook for which it serves as companion.

I developed the layout, workshopped the photo presentations, edited the copy, and spent many hours with physician experts discussing techniques to best communicate with patients and families with sensitivity and sincerity. This deck is now an indispensable tool for every pediatrician's collection.
Parents have a lot of information to wade through—and often a lot of questions—when it comes to navigating vaccine schedules for their children. I worked with AAP experts to develop Pediatric Vaccines: A Clinical Decision Support Chart, which delivers quick and thorough answers for both pediatricians and parents.
For each infectious disease/vaccine covered, I curated content into two sections. One is for pediatricians, summarizing the latest clinical guidance on immunization schedules and dosages, recommendations, and unique considerations like immune system-compromising conditions or pregnancy.
The corresponding section gives physicians “talking points” in easy-to-understand language for patients and parents—what the vaccine protects against, why it’s important today, how many doses/boosters the child will need, and what to expect before and after.
