Science is hot.
I’ve written news for radiologists, pediatricians, molecular scientists, physicists, heart surgeons, and patients and families who want to make sense of their medical treatment.
I served as managing editor (and majority writer) for STS News, the flagship newsmagazine of The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. I also wrote, deployed, and managed production schedule for eight specialized newsletters dedicated to international surgeons, trainees, health policy advocates, and data managers participating in the STS National Database. The Database is the United States' most comprehensive cardiothoracic surgical registry, informing rankings like "Best Hospitals" from US News and World Report.
As a full-timer at the Radiological Society of North America, I oversaw marketing communications for every aspect of the organization, including for its Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, the largest medical convention in the world. I continue to freelance for RSNA, writing articles for RSNA News and the annual meeting's Daily Bulletin. Here's a story about how CT imaging and cinematic rendering can help illuminate the extent of pelvic injuries in trauma patients.
